Driver’s age: The minimum age limit is 17 years. • Driving license: The driver must have a valid driving license. • Minimum hiring time: 1 day (08:30 – 20:00) • Fines: The hirer is responsible for any fines resulting from violations of the driving code during the rental period. • Insurance: Motorbikes are insured for third part. Against death of body injuries of third parts it covers up to 1.220.000€. Against material damages of third parties up to 1.220.000€. In case of an accident the hirer is responsible for the total cost of the subsequent material damages to the vehicle. • Full insurance: a. Collision damage waiver (CDW): On condition that the Driving Code has not been violated, the renter will not be obliged to pay the “excluded” amounts of above, except from the first 300€ for vehicle groups up to 50cc and 500€ for vehicle groups 125cc – 200cc if he accepts to pay an additional charge of 5€ for vehicle groups up to 50cc and 8€ for vehicle groups 125cc – 200cc for each rental day. b. Theft cover: The hirer is not responsible for the theft if he proves that he had locked the bike, has the key and theft has taken place on Kalymnos. • Taxes: 24% VAT is included. • Gasoline: Is paid by the hirer. • No insurance covers: a. Any mishappening resulting from alcohol or drug abuse. b. Damages caused to the vehicle because of off road driving. c. Theft or damage of any personal belongings while in the vehicle.
